Greetings from ST Training Solutions!

April is always a busy and exciting month for us. We are always working hard in the weeks leading up to ASSAP®, and this year was no exception. We were delighted to welcome so many friendly and eager participants to this year's conference, and were pleased that they all enjoyed the day as much as we did. You can read more about it in the first article here. We are now working hard with the video producers to get our highlights video finished, so I'll tell you more about that in next month's newsletter. The photos are already up on our website though, so do check out this link and perhaps you'll see yourself there!

I'm heading towards a really busy time, with lots of in-house workshops coming up in places as far afield as Hong Kong and Sydney. I'm very much looking forward to heading down under! With many public workshops on our training calendar too, it's looking to be a busy time ahead! :-)

All the best for May, and keep shaping the star in YOU!

Shirley

ASSAP® 2010 was a huge success

ASSAP® 2010

ASSAP® 2010 was held at the Marina Mandarin Hotel, Singapore on 20 April, and I'm happy to say it was a huge success. The 7 fabulous speakers gave informative and entertaining presentations to over 120 participants.

Thanks to these participants for some super testimonials:

Another exciting experience for me - my third attendance at ASSAP®. Speakers are motivational, creative and knowledgeable. Shirley is always an entertaining speaker, a warm, friendly and most caring host.
Eunice Koh, Energy Market Co

ASSAP® 2010 lived up to its theme ''Gaining the Professional Edge''. The organisers ''walked the talk'' with great and fantastic speakers, a wonderful programme, spiced up with lots of fun and executed professionally! Kudos to Shirley and team!
June Chan, Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia Pacific

ASSAP® has always been an exciting and fun-filled event. Participants definitely enjoyed every moment, every part and every year of ASSAP®. I would recommend my colleagues to attend this vibrant and interesting event every year! Go ASSAP®, Go!!

ASSAP® 2010
Special thanks to David Lim CSP for stepping in at the 11th hour to replace Jacinta Noonan, who unfortunately couldn't fly in to Singapore because of the volcanic ash situation in Europe. (Jacinta, we missed you.)

ASSAP® 2010
The ASSAP® workshops were great too, with fabulous feedback on Pamela Wigglesworth's Personal Excellence at Work, as well as Tremaine Du Preez Think Smart Work Smarter. Thanks to both ladies for your professionalism and friendship. It's great working with you.

ASSAP® 2010

Special thanks also to Michael Podolinsky CSP for stepping in to conduct his very popular workshop on Time and Stress Management. Great to work with you, Mike!

Do you have the business etiquette edge?

Tina Altieri Here's an article from a very good friend and training colleague, Tina Altieri. Tina's popular workshop 'Business Etiquette and Professional Poise' will be held on 23 June. Here is Tina's advice on how you can use the rainbow connection to get the professional edge at work:

History tells us that tough economic times raises the anxiety and stress levels of most professionals. Being a survivor can be tough enough without attempting to climb the ladder of success in your job. Showing your potential leadership qualities is more vital to your professional career than ever before.

The answer lies in practising powerful business etiquette skills that will let your true colours start to shine!

Business etiquette is an essential set of guidelines that will help you achieve peak performance every day. Business etiquette skills are essential if you are to get a job, keep a job or succeed in a job. By practising outstanding business etiquette and putting your best image forward, you can give your professional reputation the leading edge.

Are you ready to rise and shine above the stormy weather? The colours of the rainbow will show you how.

I put a short video up on YouTube recently, so if you want to make sure your writing is up to date, why not check it out. I'll be adding more of these short videos over the coming months, so I'll let you know when any new ones are posted.

DVD: Don't Let Writing Be Your Weakest Link
I'm also very excited to tell you about my new DVD: Don't Let Writing Be Your Weakest Link. It's a 60-minute live interactive presentation in which I share some simple techniques that will help you to become a better business writer. You'll learn all the basics of organising your thoughts, structuring your messages logically, and improving the language, style and tone of all your written messages. I had a lot of fun doing this DVD, and I know you'll like it. Of course, it's available for sale in all our workshops, and it's available online too! Click here to visit our Online Store.
